FIRST TIME: Swimming!

Back in June we went to stay at the La Paloma Resort here in Tucson. Grandpa O'Neil had official business to attend to there, so he rented a room for himself and Tammy, and another room for Chris, me, and Abby. We got to enjoy the high life for two nights and the stay fell just perfectly on Chris's off day! So we enjoyed Thursday (16th) and Friday night in a big, giant bed! Gosh I love those hotel beds! We had a crib for Abby, and were super blessed to have grandpa and grandma O'Neil two doors down, so when the 4 am feeding arrived, they took Abby once she demolished her breakfast! It was amazing to sleep in until 9 am two days in a row!

Friday morning we headed out to the pool where Abby had her first swim! The pool was much cooler than a normal bath, so we weren't too sure about the water!



Mommy wasn't too smart, and ended up going into a cold pool first, so Abby was a bit shocked by the cold water! Oops! After trying out a few pools, we finally found a warm kid pool on our 3rd attempt. Abby seemed to be a bit more comfortable with the idea, but that lasted for about 30 seconds! Poor Abby. Mommy was sacrificing your comfort for her photography-obsession. But you'll thank me when you're older! Right?

Once we dried off and warmed up, Abby sun-bathed for almost an hour. She loved being outside! We sat in the shade on some pool chairs and watched her lift that head up high and proud! Good job Abby!



The rest of the day she slept like a champ- the outside wore her out! I guess now we know how to make the girl pass out!!
